Behavioral Observation and Screening
(6-hour: Online and Instructor-led) The Florida Legislature recognized the importance for childcare providers to complete formal training on how to observe and screen children for possible development delays. This course was designed to ensure childcare professionals understand the principles of observation and screening in order to guide learning opportunities and detect early warning signs of delay, disability, abuse and neglect. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: * Describe guidelines and best practices used for observation and screening * Explain how and when to use different observation and screening methods and how to select them * List agencies and organizations that assist with screening, assessment, and evaluation
