COURSE DESCRIPTION This comprehensive course provides law enforcement professionals with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills needed to identify, investigate, and organize fraud and financial crime cases for successful prosecution.

This course is designed for detectives, patrol officers, and supervisors.

INSTRUCTOR: Sergeant Jackie Hearon

Sergeant Jackie Hearon is the supervisor of the Economic Crime Task Force and Fraud Unit with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, where she leads a multi-agency task force and conducts fraud and financial crimes training. She began her law enforcement career with the Edgewater Police Department and joined the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in 1998. Sergeant Hearon spent over twelve years as an Agent specializing in fraud investigations before being promoted to Sergeant. She holds an A.A. degree in Criminal Justice from Brevard Community College and a B.S. degree in Organizational Management with a minor in Emergency Management from Eastern Florida State College. She also instructed for ten years at the Brevard Community College Police Academy. Sgt. Hearon conducts fraud and financial crimes training for law enforcement professionals throughout the country.
