COURSE: This course is designed to provide the patrol officer, investigator, and agency victim advocate with the advanced skills needed to effectively investigate crimes against children.
TOPICS TO BE COVERED INCLUDE: Sexual Exploitation Investigations, Interviewing Offenders, The Child Rapist, Physical Abuse and Homicides, The Forensic Interviewing of Children, AMBER and CART Alerts, Florida Law, Crime Scene Processing/Injury Identification, Use of CPT, and Advocacy Centers.
NOTE: Students must attend all sessions of the course. Students must take and pass a written final exam with a score of 80% or better. Material in this class is graphic and sensitive.
