COURSE: This intensive course offers a comprehensive foundation in crime scene processing and forensic science for sworn and civilian law enforcement personnel. Students will gain knowledge on the history, application and introduction to the various aspects of conducting a forensic investigation.
TOPICS TO BE COVERED INCLUDE: Modern crime scene techniques, recognizing and documenting evidence, advanced collection and preservation methods, initial evidence identification, follow-up investigation, reporting and court testimony.
NOTE: Students should have successfully completed the basic recruit training program or have been exempted prior to taking this course. Students must attend all sessions of the course.
