COURSE: This 8-day specialized course offers a comprehensive overview and practical training for agency detectives and investigators. It is designed to develop a wide range of job-specific skills, enhance each participant’s investigative toolkit, and improve effectiveness in the field. The transition from patrol officer to investigator is complex and often requires additional resources, guidance, and mentorship. In addition to skill development, this course provides valuable networking opportunities with peers from other agencies—fostering collaboration, shared insights, and professional growth. Our goal is to deliver high-quality training for both current detectives and officers seeking to strengthen their investigative capabilities.
TOPICS TO BE COVERED INCLUDE: Case Management, legal aspects of investigation, Medical Examiner’s investigations, Officer Involved Shootings, Criminal Investigations, Sex Crimes Investigations, Juvenile Issues, Court Testimony, Search Warrants, Offender Probation, Animal Cruelty Investigations, and much more.
NOTE: Students must attend all sessions of the course. Business attire is required.
An approval by letter of recommendation from student’s immediate supervisor is required along with the Training Authorization
