Prosecuting the Drugged Driver (VoD)  

This two-hour Video on Demand (VoD) is designed for both officers and prosecutors. We will explain the concepts of the Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) and Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) programs, introduce you to DRE Evaluations, and explain how to read and understand a DRE report.

Detective Lopez and Assistant State Attorney Berman will provide you with an overview of Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus and how to use it in court. We’ll share courtroom procedures and testifying specific to drug cases, as well as how medicinal marijuana will affect the future of the courtroom.
