Trimble Reveal I - Basic Diagramming (Online)  

This introductory course will give you the skills needed to complete a basic scaled crash or crime scene diagram based on the collected field data. You will learn how to build the scene in both “top down” and 3D perspectives, add text labels and pictures, and use multiple measurement logs. We will also show you how to locate and use helpful tools and build multiple layers for selective viewing.

You will learn how to input proper angles for the momentum tool, place damage and crush to a vehicle and build a Smart-Room from a variety of data sources. We will introduce you to the method of using the Line, Polyline and Combiline as well as a variety of features to help you complete an investigation with the diagram.

Traffic crash and crime scene investigators and reconstructionists who are new users of Reveal diagramming software

Previous training in traffic crash or crime scene investigations is helpful, but not required.

Online Details

Online environment: This is an independent study, self-paced course. Although there are no specific times that you must be online, you will be required to complete assignments by the deadlines posted within the course. Instructors are available to answer your questions during each module via the help forum.

You should plan to dedicate approximately 24 hours to the course activities. You must be committed to the course and invest the time necessary for successful completion. The course must be completed within 30 days upon registration. Once the 30-day period has ended, you may no longer have access.

Computer requirements: You will complete the course entirely online, so you will need a dependable broadband internet connection. You will need a laptop with Trimble Reveal software installed and CPU requirements to run Reveal Software: Intel 7 or equivalent processor, 16 GB of RAM and Windows 10. Recommended: 4 GB video card and 1920x1080 display resolution. Proper license keys should already be applied to the software.
