Operation R.U.S.H.: Criminal Patrol and Interdiction (Online)

This is an independent study, self-paced course.

Criminals are most vulnerable – and most dangerous – while they are enroute from Point A to Point B. This 16-hour course is designed to educate and challenge both new and experienced officers in recognizing criminal behaviors during traffic stops. Recognizing and Understanding Substances on the Highway (R.U.S.H.) is imperative for law enforcement who want to detect and curb criminal activity on the roadways.

Determining whether you are building reasonable suspicion, receiving consent, should call for K-9 support or have probable cause will assist you in conducting vehicle searches legally. You will learn the latest tactics to use during vehicle approaches, interviewing, and searches to enhance officer safety. By understanding the ins-an-outs of the drug world, we will teach you how to be prepared for court and organize your case correctly and legally.
