Introduction to ASL: Part 1 (Online)

This is part one of the three-part series of Introduction to ASL classes. Part One is designed to familiarize students with commonly used signs and finger spelling. Basic sign production and comprehension will be practiced during each meeting while learning about different aspects of the Deaf culture. Upon completion, you will have a basic knowledge of native or fluent signers, be able to reproduce the basic hand shapes and facial expressions and have a basic knowledge of fingerspelling and everyday signs.

This class is online and specifically created to meet the needs of the virtual learner. Students will participate in a virtual classroom with a live instructor weekly, have access to video tutorials and practice quizzes.
