This course will help to identify the proper use of control charts for quality assurance. You will learn process improvement techniques that lead to quality products and a problem solving approach utilizing data acquisition systems and statistical methods. You will apply these concepts to practical industrial applications of process monitoring, control, and cababilty.

This course will cover the application of lean strategies for efficiency and effectiveness in manufacturing operations from the intial product design to delivery of the final product. You will learn the processes, systems, and standardized procedures to enhance quality and productivity in a manufacturing environment. Paticipants will be able to understand and implement principles and tools for identifying waste in industry. This will be applied to case studies of issues with manual assembly.

This course does not require prior foundary experience. After this course participants will be able to understand the metalcasting processes associated with design, maufacturing, and quality. They will also be able to understand the factors driving costs and be able to communicate effectively with foundary suppliers.

This intro course is designed for anyone with an interest in learning more about the processes and materials available for use in today's fast paced manufacturing environment. This course will give you the tools you need to be a more successful supply chain manager, materials manager, designer, sales representitive, quality professional, or buyer. This session will include:
