Colored Pencil Techniques

Investigate the rich color possibilities of the colored pencil. This course will examine techniques for loose sketching, embellishing ink drawings and photocopied images, and drawing on toned surfaces. Artists can work in a highly detailed method, or abstractly. We will investigate a variety of blending, layering, burnishing, and direct drawing techniques. Students with all levels of experience will find the colored pencil an extremely flexible and vibrant drawing tool.
