Formed over 12,000 years ago, Niagara Falls lies between the United States and Canada. Consisting of three awe-inspiring waterfalls, Niagara Falls is sacred to Native Americans, who believed the sound of the waterfall was the voice of the mighty spirit of the waters.
Classroom sessions will focus on local history, customs, and traditions. Students will also explore the many sites, sounds and attractions this amazing area has to offer.

A one-way taxi ride costs about $55 so we will encourage you to share a taxi or Uber with your fellow students. One week before the start of class we’ll invite you to “care to share” which will allow you to communicate with other students and arrange taxi/Uber car pools.
This course takes place on the United States side of Niagara Falls. The Canadian side of the Falls is an easy 10-15 minute walk over the Rainbow Bridge from the hotel. Please remember, however, proper documentation is needed to cross and to return.
Upon successful completion of the course, students earn 36 credit hours.
In order to earn credit for the course, students must complete a pre-assignment (emailed the week before class), all classwork, and a final project. The final project will be assigned during class and must be submitted via email one week following the last day of class. Certificates of completion are awarded after final projects are submitted and graded.
Cancellation Policy for the Learning Express program is necessarily different from other Learning Across America courses. For a full refund, students who have registered for class with accommodations must cancel 31 days before the first class date by emailing BMCC at firstname.lastname@example.org.
