New 32 hour course.
Cultural Crossroads explores the development of New York City, driven by immigration, and how each wave of immigrants left its mark on NYC culture today.
After two classroom sessions, your third class will be spent on a tour of New York City! The tour will leave from 30th Street Station at 8:00am. Each stop will explore the thumbprint left by a culture that became intrinsic to the city, including lower Manhattan's Dutch roots, Chinatown, Little Italy and much more. The motorcoach will leave Manhattan at 5:30pm to return to Philadelphia.
Program Fee: $285.00 (includes classroom sessions, tour of New York City, and roundtrip motorcoach)
When you have successfully completed the course (including the tour), you will obtain a CERTIFICATE stating you have earned credit for 32 HOURS or 3.2 CEUs.
PLEASE NOTE: in order to receive any credit, you MUST attend all classes, complete all the assignments and go on the tour. Please make sure, before you sign up, that you are available on both class dates and the tour day. There are NO make-up assignments and NO excuses.
There is a mandatory pre-assignment for this course. You must complete this and bring it to the first class EVEN IF you register at the last minute. Pre-assignments are sent to students via email one week before the first class date, and again two days before the first class date.
