New York is known as “The City That Never Sleeps." The restless energy that gives the city life owes much to the waves of immigration that have shaped New York’s past and present. Classes will take place both in the classroom and out in the diverse neighborhoods of NYC, such as Koreatown, Little Italy, Chinatown, and Harlem.
This course is designed for students who may already be familiar with New York City. Students will not visit iconic tourist attractions during class. However, students who are not from the New York City area are welcome to enroll, too.
