Networking opens doors in your future career. Negotiating helps you know what to do once you walk through those doors. In this class, you will improve your ability to use English to establish meaningful connections and develop the ability to reach agreement in business situations.
This interactive class builds your knowledge of workplace communication, with a focus on vocabulary and reviewing case studies.
In this class, you will:
- Build advanced workplace vocabulary
- Receive one-on-one feedback about a networking “pitch”
- Listen to and analyze authentic interviews, presentations, and phone calls
- Collaborate with other students to create group presentations
- Be introduced to case studies of workplace issues and create plans to solve the companies’ problems.
More information
Our online classes consist of a pre-assignment, independent coursework, and final assignment, as well as live online class sessions with your teacher/other au pairs. Credit for J-1 visa students is 36 hours. Students earning J-1 visa credit must attend all sessions and complete all homework.
