Learning Express: Miami: America's Magic City!
Credit: 36 hours/3.6 CEU
Miami is home to people from across the globe who help sustain its many multicultural neighborhoods and drive its amazing art scene. Students will learn about the city’s complex history, including Native American wars, slavery, boom-bust economic cycles, civil rights and Miami’s development as an international city.
To expand upon what you’ll learn in the classroom, you’ll visit Miami’s lively Wynwood district to experience its colorful murals created by some of the world’s most famous street artists as well as Miami Beach’s world famous South Beach and its historic Art Deco District.
A visit to HistoryMiami Museum will help you gain an even clearer perspective of the city as it brings the stories of Miami’s communities, individuals, places and events to life.
Thursday: 4pm â€“ 7pm.
Friday: 9am â€“ 4:30pm. Please dress appropriately to walk out into the city with your teacher.
Saturday: 9am â€“ 4:30pm. Please dress appropriately to walk out into the city with your teacher.

Educational Hours for the J-1 Visa:
Upon successful completion of the course students earn 36 credit hours.
Students are required to complete a pre-assignment to bring to the first day of class, and also a final project due one week after class. Students who complete their pre-assignment, final project, and attend all classes, will receive their certificate 10 days after the final class session.
Students who require their certificate sooner than outlined above should request their final assignment in advance by contacting BMCC at email@example.com. Please note that BMCC needs two days from the date a student submits their final assignment to issue an educational certificate.
