In order to reflect CUNY's decision to hold distance-learning courses through the summer, Learning Across America will be continuing in an online format through July 31, 2020. Any classes posted through July 31 will not be held in person or on location. Online courses will be held for the same number of credits as our in-person option. Discover the great monuments and memorials of Washington, DC, one of only three planned capital cities in the world. In addition to exploring the famous monuments of Washington, DC, students will explore:
- What makes a person or movement worthy of memorializing?
- How do we decide which parts of history are important and when do we make mistakes?
- What pieces of history are missing that should be recognized?
