The 80-hour dental chairside assistant training program followed by a 40-hour externship prepares students for one of the fastest growing healthcare positions. This program covers the history of dentistry, introduction to the dental office, the legal aspects of dentistry, introduction to oral anatomy, dental operatory, introduction to tooth structure, and other areas. The purpose of this program is to familiarize learners with dental assisting activities to effectively function as a dental chairside assistant in a dental practice. Upon successful completion of the training, you will be matched with a local dental practice to complete your 40-hour externship and gain the valuable hands-on work experience needed for employment in the field.
