You will master a wide range of information and skills needed as a healthcare worker and prepare for the NYS CNA certification exams, such as body systems, mental health, and rehabilitation. Textbook: Mosby’s Textbook for Nursing Assistant,10th edition by Sorrentino. ISBN: 9780323319744 Prerequisites: (1) HS diploma or equivalency. (2) Demonstrate fluency in English, reading test may be given. (3) Physical examination is due at the 1st day of class. (4) CPR 100: CPR for Health Care Providers or current the American Heart Association required before clinical rotation. (5) The program is HYBRID. Basic computer skills are required for online instruction and CUNY Covid-19 vaccine and booster compliance for in-person instruction. *NOTE: $115 required testing fee to be paid in class.
