Medical Terminology: Anatomy and Physiology Part II   

This course is divided into 2 parts. It is designed for medical assistant students to develop a basic knowledge of how complex medical terms are formed and their meanings; emphasis is placed on spelling and pronunciation of medical terms. Introduction to the basic body structures and processes, all major organs, and body systems and function. Diseases are discussed as they pertain to each system. Normal and abnormal health conditions are discussed; most common chronic health conditions are emphasized. The course is designed to coincide with clinical practices course topics as they relate to assisting in the general and specialty examinations.
