This course introduces you to the techniques necessary to perform a twelve-lead resting electrocardiogram (ECG/ EKG). You learn about normal rhythm and arrhythmia, basic cardiac physiology, electrophysiology, and how to troubleshoot technical problems. Upon completion, you will be eligible to take the NHA certification exam. Required text: The Only EKG Book You’ll Ever Need, 8th-10th Ed. Malcolm Thaler. Students who wish to register for the Phlebotomy, EKG and PCT courses may purchase the study guides offered only on the National Healthcareer Association website. These study guides can be purchased instead of the separate textbooks at NHANOW.com.
