Week 6: July 20 - July 23   

In this course, children explore how everyday salt can transform simple watercolor paintings into stunning works of art. By sprinkling and layering different types of salt, young artists will discover exciting textures and eye-catching effects as the colors spread and shift. Through hands-on exploration, children will unleash their creativity, experiment freely, and turn their imagination into one-of-a-kind watercolor masterpieces.

Students will create abstract art based on other artists, using paints such as Wassily Kandinsky and Jackson Pollock. The goal is for students to learn how to analyze shapes, colors,s and objects, also, if it can be done in groups, have another group focus on surrealism, making melting clocks inspired by Salvador Dali.

Students will use problem-solving skills and creativity to design 3D crafts and eye-catching pop-up art. Through hands-on exploration, they’ll plan, fold, cut, and construct their ideas into imaginative creations. This fun, tactile process strengthens fine motor skills, encourages focus, and provides a relaxing, stress‑relieving creative outlet. Along the way, students will learn how to turn design concepts into finished projects while confidently expressing themselves through art.

Kids will design bold, eye‑catching posters by experimenting with color, contrast, images, and powerful, catchy messages. Whether they’re promoting a cause they believe in or an event they’re excited about, students will learn how design choices influence attention and impact. The experience wraps up with a mini showcase, where they can proudly display their work and see their creative ideas come to life.

Bring characters to life and tell stories through comics! Students will develop their own original characters by experimenting with facial expressions, emotions, and dynamic poses. Using humor, creativity, and imagination, kids will create short comic strips that showcase each character’s unique personality. Along the way, they’ll learn how pictures and words work together to tell a story, making this class a playful introduction to visual storytelling and comic art fun!

In this hands-on class, students will dive into the delicious world of chocolate, melting it to perfection, mixing in fun flavors, and turning it into tasty creations. They’ll decorate their treats with colorful designs and package them like real chocolatiers. The best part? Using awesome silicone molds shaped like their favorite characters to make chocolates that look as amazing as they taste!

As they write and illustrate their own mini-adventures, students build creativity, confidence, and essential storytelling skills like sequencing, vocabulary, and problem-solving. Students will learn about step sequencers, drum programming, audio mixing and more.Once we get rolling, you'll put new songs together in no time.

A starting point for anyone interested in playing keyboard instruments. Synthesizers, Marimbas, Organs, and many other instruments use this familiar layout that you can learn the basics of. Learn how to comfortably play for the first time and see if this family of instruments is a good fit for you! Students will learn scales, fingerings, and the beginnings of reading music notation.

In this hands‑on class, students tackle fun engineering challenges as they design and create things like towering buildings and soaring airplanes. Along the way, they’ll discover cool physics ideas such as force, balance, and lift through exciting projects. Highlights include constructing paper skyscrapers that defy gravity and building solar ovens that use the power of the sun. It’s a blast of creativity, problem‑solving, and learning—perfect for curious minds who love to make things work!

Students will explore different regions of the United States as they travel from coast to coast, discovering unique landscapes, landmarks, and cultures along the way. As they record their journey through drawings, maps, writing, or journals, students will document their discoveries and share personal reflections. This engaging experience builds curiosity, observation skills, and creativity while helping students bring their travels to life—no passport required!

Build a bustling city with roads, parks, landmarks, and imaginative details? Kids plan layouts, design buildings, and think about how spaces connect. They'll learn about creativity, composition, and teamwork while building their urban masterpieces. Completed cities are shared with the class, showcasing each student's unique vision.
