Kayaking Adventures: Lore and History of the Ocklawaha River

On this kayak/canoe trip, we will explore the fascinating and often quirky lore of the plants and animals living along this wild, scenic river. Today the river is a world of egrets, herons, gators and other wildlings, but an Indian mound and a steamboat landing, both of which we will visit, attest to a colorful human history. This trip is good for beginners; lessons are included.

After registering for the class, all participants should call (386) 454-0611 during the week prior to the trip to discuss equipment needs and confirm an email address for launch site directions.

Note: Participants will meet at the launch site at 9 a.m. Lunch is not included in price.
