Keen on Quinoa

Quinoa (pronounced "keen-wah") is a heart healthy, gluten-free seed that is high in protein and iron, a source of essential fatty acids, and a complete protein containing all nine essential amino acids.

Quinoa is wonderfully nutritious and delicious. It offers a double punch of nutrition by being both high in fiber and in protein. This protein-packed, super-food has a nutty taste and chewy texture and is both flavorful and filling.

In this hand's-on class you will learn how to use quinoa in a variety of recipes from breakfast cereal to salads and hearty main dishes and even dessert. All recipes used are gluten-free and dairy-free.

Note:There is an $8 ingredients fee payable to the instructor the day of class.
