Florence Nightingale: The Lady with the Lamp   NEW!

Can you imagine hospitals with dirty sheets and bandages? Surgical instruments not sterilized from one patient to the other? Or cesspools of water used on patients? All these conditions and more were common before Florence Nightingale made radical changes in the nursing profession.

Florence was chided by her family in England for choosing a career considered beneath someone of her wealth and position in life. That didn’t deter her from following the path that she felt strongly called to.

Dee Collier will again be joining us as a living historian, presenting the life of Florence Nightingale in full costume. Be prepared to transport yourself back to the 1800’s as this fascinating account helps us understand how nursing became the highly respected career it is today!
