Florida Museums – Living Repositories of History & Culture   NEW!

Florida is often overlooked when people think of visiting these gold nuggets that capture what we are and how we became the society we enjoy. Learn about several “destination areas” in the state such as Sarasota. It not only covers the better known museums such as the Ringling Museum of Art in these locations, it introduces lesser-known and fascinating sites. Close to the Ringling Museum, discover the Crowley Museum, an 1880’s village, Solomon’s Castle, a mansion built from cast off materials, and Bob’s Trains, a restaurant housed in Pullman rail cars from the Ringling Circus and containing thousands of photos, posters, and big top memorabilia. And more! Five “destinations” are covered in this presentation.
