Biology of Cancer  

All cancer cells share the properties of dividing without stopping and spreading into surrounding tissues. Cancer cells compete for the body's resources without contributing to its functions and crowd out normal cells. We will review how genetics, mutations, internal and external signaling can generate cancer and also discuss treatments that counteract uncontrolled cell division, aberrant signaling, and promote cell death.
