Mystery, Detective, and Crime Fiction    NEW!

This course will discuss the origins of the genre, the Haycraft-Queen list, the Golden Age between WWI and WWII, and various categories within the genre (cozy police procedurals, hardboiled, HIBK, etc.) Also discussed will be reference/source materials, the pulps of the 1930s and 1940s, the paperback originals of the 1950s. There will be film clips and trivia questions.
