Florida’s Conservation Future Series: The Florida Wildlife Corridor Expeditions: Movie and Lecture   NEW!

It all began with four explorers who trekked 1,000 miles in 100 days from the Everglades to the Okefenokee Swamp in Georgia to raise awareness about the need to connect and protect wild places in Florida. Join award-winning photojournalist Carlton Ward, Jr., one of the four team explorers on this remarkable journey, as he describes how the expedition impacted him and thousands of supporters across Florida. By integrating Florida’s leading conservation science with compelling images and rich storytelling; Ward and the team launched newfound interest in creating a network of protected conservation lands and waters in critical Florida ecosystems. After the first expedition in 2012, they ventured on foot and paddle from Central Florida Everglades Headwaters across the Panhandle to Alabama, completing another 1,000-mile expedition in 2015. After hearing Carlton’s story and photographic journey, view a movie highlighting the second expedition. Conservation Trust for Florida and FWCC Directors Susan Carr and Lindsay Cross wrap up with a question and answer session and examples of how to help promote Florida land and water wildlife corridors.
