Business & Finance

Get down to business with finance classes. Learn in an informal group format how to use statistics, logic and strategy for successful investing. From the history of stocks to key strategies such as buy and hold and swing trading, you will learn how the market works. Taught and facilitated by a retired certified planner, this class will be customized to meet the students’ interests, needs and backgrounds.

Speak Up! Fine tune your presentation skills with a Toastmasters class. This non-threatening interactive workshop will help you with public speaking, whether intimately in a small social group or on a larger scale. Come see how you can communicate with ease in any situation. Learn how you can improve your listening, speaking, and even leadership skills in a fun and supportive environment.

We’ll go behind the scenes at three of Marion County’s top employers. You’ll see what it takes to produce laminated glass for windows at Cardinal LG. A tour of the new FedEx Distribution Center will give you a peak into the world of logistics. And, a top-secret mystery tour will require your security clearance in advance.
