Find out about the role and the responsibilities of a Guardian ad Litem, how much time is required to participate as a volunteer. Bay Laurel Center CDD will be converting the residents of Friendship Village, Friendship Colony, and Americana Village to individual billing by March of 2020.
This workshop will provide a description of the conversion process, explanation of billing, and explanation of the water meter functionality. During the workshop residents will have the opportunity to complete the application process with District staff, in which the District will waive the required security deposit. |

At 10:56 p.m. EST, on July 20, 1969, American astronaut Neil Armstrong, 240,000 miles from Earth, spoke these words to more than a billion people listening at home: "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." Join Rich as he leads a community discussion, inviting people of all ages to talk about personal experiences from this historical event. Where were you? What were you doing? Participants will have the opportunity to share memories and remembrances, and are invited to bring to class with them any memorabilia or tangible items to show and tell. All are welcome to come and share thoughts in this open environment. |

Backstage Tour at Circle Square Cultural Center |
Circle Square Cultural Center, the largest performing facility in Marion County, is a bustling place. Some of the sold out shows over the first half of Some of the sold out shows over the first half of 2018 include Frankie Avalon, Staying Alive Bee Gees Tribute, and a Kingston Trio. Each performance, Master the Possibilities’ classes and the private events and receptions held in-between, takes a tremendous amount of planning and preparation. Come behind the scenes with Jo Salyers, Director of Circle Square Commons, and Gary Pierre, Facilities Manager and Gary Manges, Technical Support. See the “green†rooms where performers do make-up and costuming, the front of the house and back stage equipment. Learn about the ticketing system and how shows are selected. You will never think about a concert the same after you know all that goes into staging performances. |
