Microcredential in Early Childhood Education

The fifteen-credit microcredential in Early Childhood Education serves the needs of high school graduates and those working in fields such as child development and human services who want to pursue or maintain initial employment as aides in early childhood programs.  Students will complete the following sequence of courses: 

  • ED 150-Social and Philosophical Foundations of Education
  • ED 205-Child Development
  • ED 201-Introduction to Early Childhood Education
  • ED 203-Early Childhood Methods and Materials
  • ED 211-Introduction to Exceptionalities
