Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) help individuals with developmental disabilities live meaningful, independent, and self-directed lives. They provide person-centered support across residential, community, and day program settings by assisting with daily living activities, promoting skill development, ensuring health and safety, and advocating for individual rights and well-being. This course will prepare you for this rewarding career through a combination of foundational direct support knowledge and essential workplace skills, including communication, documentation, and job readiness.

Registrants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the training:

• At least eighteen years old
• Able to pass a background check
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Earned a high school diploma or high school equivalency (GED/TASC)
