The class tuition is $1,500 but is currently free to enrollees who qualify for Fast Track funding.The 60 hour, in-person Intro to Dental Assistant program prepares students for entry-level positions in a dentist office. The program covers the history of dentistry, introduction to the dental office, the legal aspects of dentistry, introduction to oral anatomy, dental operatory, introduction to tooth structure (primary and permanent teeth), the oral cavity; and other areas. The purpose of this program is to familiarize learners with all areas of administrative and clinical dental assisting focusing on the responsibilities required to function as an assistant in a dental practice. Students who successfully complete the program receive a MVCC certificate of completion.

This class is open to the public and is zero cost due to students eligible for Fast Track funding. Class value is $1000.

Students are only eligible to enroll in one healthcare based training under the Fast Track program. If you have already taken a healthcare class through Fast Track then you are not eligible for additional funding through the program. Before registering contact us for alternate funding options.

Students must be at least 17 years old to enroll in the training and sit for the certification exam.

To receive the Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification, students must:

• pass the 48-hour classroom training
• pass the PTCB national certification exam
• be at least 18 years old (students take the certification exam at 17 but not get officially certified until reaching 18)
• provide proof of a high school diploma or its equivalent

Upon successful course completion students receive a voucher code for the PTCB national certification exam. Successful passing of the application process/background check is required to sit for the exam.

This comprehensive 48-hour course will prepare students to enter the pharmacy field and take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam. Technicians work in hospitals, home infusion pharmacies, community pharmacies, and other health care settings – working under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Course content includes medical terminology specific to the pharmacy, reading and interpreting prescriptions, and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Students will learn dosage calculations, I.V. flow rates, drug compounding, dose conversions, dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control, and billing and reimbursement. Students must be at least seventeen years of age to enroll in the training and eighteen with a high school diploma or equivalency to be certified.

This program will familiarize you with various aspects of the medical laboratory and provides a certificate and skills required to work as a phlebotomist in a hospital, laboratory, or medical office. Intense classroom instruction is combined with individualized clinical practice.

Medical requirement includes proof of a physical and negative TB test results read within twelve months of clinical start date, proof of two Mumps Measles and Rubella (MMR) and Tdap or Tetanus toxoid within 10 years.

Tuition includes an insurance fee.

This course is only for healthcare professionals and prospective or active students enrolled in a healthcare related program.

CPR and Basic Life Support for Health Care Professionals. BLS CPR (1 & 2 rescuer) BVM Ventilations, choking, and AED use for adults, children and infants. Students that pass written and skills tests receive an AHA BLS ecard that is valid for two years.

Please bring $10 cash on the day of class to pay the instructor for the certification card.

Students are only eligible to register for one Fast Track section.

Get New York State-certified with this accelerated 120-hour course that combines 90 hours of classroom and lab with 30 supervised clinical training hours. Upon successful completion of the course, you will take the NYS certification exam on-site. Medical requirements before clinical clearance include proof of a physical and TB test results within 12 months of clinical start date, and positive titers or proof of two Mumps Measles and Rubella (MMR) vaccinations.

All students must pass two reading comprehension exams with a score of 90% in order to be eligible for the training.

100% classroom, lab and clinical attendance is required to be eligible to sit for the certification exam.

CNA is valued at $1500.

Topics in this course include first aid, CPR, and athletic training/conditioning principles. Upon completion, students are eligible for National Safety Council First Aid and American Heart Association CPR certification. This is one of three mandatory courses required by the New York State Education Department to become permanently certified to coach high school athletics.

This course provides basic knowledge and skills in the use and development of sport-specific coaching methods and skills. New York State high school rules and regulations, teaching methods, performance skills, organization and management of practice sessions, and conditioning are explored. An internship in a specific sport under the supervision of a master coach or athletic trainer and seminar sessions in inter-school athletic history are required. This is one of three mandatory courses required by the New York State Education Department to become permanently certified to coach high school athletics. Prerequisite: CO231 Philosophy, Principles & Organization of Athletics in Education.
