  This course is designed to teach beginning diving skills starting with snorkeling and basic swimming skills and progressing through basic  scuba skills to emergency procedures. Students must purchase a basic snorkeling package which includes a mask, boots, snorkel, and bag ($249). Participants must be 10 years or older and able to float or tread water for 10 minutes. A swim test will take place on the first evening. Class will take place both in the classroom and pool. Students can choose to become certified under Recreational Scuba Training Council standards and learn to dive safely. Certification dives take place off campus and are optional and available for an additional $209.
