Start tracing your family history using Ancestry.com. This hands-on, computer-based course is for those new to the website or who have come to a road block and need direction on how to further research and create their family trees. Your experienced instructor will introduce you at a high-level on how to use the search functions, understanding the "green leaf," building a tree, and will cover each Category (Census, Birth, Newspapers, and etc.) You must be a current paid Ancestry.com subscriber in order to see all documents and enroll in the class. Please bring the following information with you: Ancestry.com login/password, names, birth/death dates, and birth/death locations on the first day of class.

Are you starting or continuing to do your family tree research and overwhelmed on the number of genealogy websites? Let your instructor do the driving for you on visiting the top paid/free genealogy websites, while you sit back and enjoy the ride. Your instructor at a high-level will show you the benefits on what each website could do in aiding your research. He will also show you how to access some of the paid subscriptions for free by using your local library services via Main San Antonio Library website Mysapl.org.
