Did you attend a painting party and now have an interest in developing your skills further? In this introductory course, learn the theory and practice of acrylic painting. Explore color mixing, the color wheel, values, and basic color theory and principles. Complete your first painting using a monochromatic color scheme. By the time you have completed this course, you will have developed the skills and knowledge to continue on in your learning of how to paint with acrylics. A $30 cash materials fee is payable to the instructor for all supplies needed. This program is geared for adult learners ages 18+.

Let’s get a little salty! In this workshop, you will explore some cool washes and salt techniques to create cards that embody calming beach vibes. At the end of the workshop, you will have 2-3 beautiful cards that you can share with family and friends. Lots of reference photos and embellishments will be available to spark your creativity. All painting materials will be supplied.

This class will bring out the photographer in you. Get out of the rut of auto-exposure, get the most from your digital SLR, and learn to use your camera's settings to make images that really "pop". Moonrise or sunset, a cityscape or seashore, animals or people — well-taken travel pictures are always conversation starters. No prior photography experience is necessary.

Prickly plants have never looked so pretty! This painting class transforms cacti into stunning works of art. You’ll discover the magic of blending and layering colors, plus get tips on composition, patterns, and design to turn your cactus garden into a masterpiece. Canvas, reference photos, templates, and all materials will be supplied.

Get ready to unleash your inner tree hugger and paint a beautiful, gnarly live oak tree. From trunk, to limbs, to branches and leaves, you will using brushstroke techniques to create a live oak tree with all it’s unique characteristics. Canvas, paint, and supplies will be provided by the instructor. Ages 16+ are welcome.

Back by popular demand! Let’s share some springtime magic by creating Texas wildflower greeting cards. The instructor will demonstrate watercolor and ink techniques to paint bluebonnets, Indian blankets, prim roses and more.
