Homeschool Middle School Physics Lab: Optics (Ages 11-13)

The Path of Light! Light doesn’t always travel in a simple straight line; it can be bounced, bent, and focused. Students will use mirrors and water to manipulate light beams, discovering why objects appear distorted underwater or magnified through a lens. We focus on the transition from "seeing" to "observing" how light interacts with the world. This session introduces the geometric properties of light, helping students understand the mechanics of vision and the technology behind everyday lenses.
