Hill Country Karate Summer Camp (Ages 5-13)   

HCK Summer Camp will include techniques for beginners, light contact point sparring (tag), training in traditional safety weapons and principles of falling and rolling from Judo. Monday/Tuesday of the week will focus on the beginner techniques that our students learn as white belts. Wednesday class will concentrate on the sport application of these techniques through point sparring with all safety equipment being supplied for the students. Thursday will include training with various traditional martial arts weapons like bo staff, nunchucks, short sword and Kama (sickle) with weapons made of polypropylene plastic for safety. Friday will be spent learning the art of correct falling and rolling with a few basic sweeps from the sport of Judo. These camps are high energy and fast paced learning environments that provide children with a broad introduction to sport martial arts. Every participant that completes the entire week will receive a certificate of rank from Hill Country Karate that will allow them to join our normal  fall classes hosted within the school district at the rank of Yellow belt.
