Calling all previous DroneTogether pilots! This fast-paced flying camp is for all our past students who are ready to take the next step with their flying skills. Each day will offer our young flyers a chance to challenge their skills in a variety of fun and engaging activities. Many of the kids' favorite activities from previous classes will be included, but pilots in the advanced camp can expect to see more of the larger drones, some videography practice, competitive races, team challenges, flying adventures and more. Come join us for this exciting week of flying and, remember, it is a prerequisite to have taken a previous drone class or camp to qualify for this opportunity.

As technology advances, our future workforce needs the skills to navigate the world of AI & Machine Learning. Campers will use Python 3 to take a deep dive into these groundbreaking technologies that surround our day-to-day lives and also learn how assistants like Siri, Alexa, and Cortana are built. With an understanding of how AI and Machine Learning work, campers will be better equipped to navigate the upward trajectory of computer intelligence.

Learn to code with plugged and unplugged activities that will teach your child how to think computationally, problem solve logically and have a ton of fun completing challenges. Every day, we’ll explore a new resource to learn to code. Students will create programs to solve problems and develop simple games and stories. No previous coding experience required. A full week of making, tinkering, building and playing! Using a variety of tools and materials, they will explore circuits and electricity. Campers will construct dc motors and explore their power by making their own propeller cars, robots and more. Using the principles of engineering, camp goers will learn how to imagine, design, create, and build.

 

In this introductory camp, campers will go beyond playing games and get a behind-the-scenes experience, learning the art and science of game development. With hands-on projects, campers will be exposed to many digital tools used today for game creation such as Scratch. Each game created throughout the week will start small and grow exponentially along with skills learned! By the
end of the week, campers will really see that making games are more fun than playing them!

Learn conditionals, functions, coordinates and more in block-based coding and JavaScript.  Students will Design an original creative project to program four tools for a survival backpack to help them in a Minecraft world.

In this beginner robotics program, your little engineer will begin to explore the world of robotics as they build simple models that teach the fundamentals of robotic design. Whether learning about motors while building drills and catapults or exploring how to use sensors while playing with a magic wand or a goal kicker, we're certain your child will have a great time while they are learning a ton about robots and how to work effectively with a partner! iPads and Robotics equipment provided by Snapology.
