NJC has developed a custom CDL Class-A training program for Northeast Colorado high school students. This program covers all aspects of Entry Level Driving Training (ELDT) to prepare students to obtain their Commercial Learners Permit and then moves into hands-on road and range training for the Commercial Drivers License.

This Class-A program includes:

Developing necessary backing skills

Pre-trip Inspection

Driving/Operating a manual transmission tractor trailer on Public Roadways

The intent of the course is to meet all FMCSA ELDT training requirements, and to exceed the training and proficiency necessary to pass a CDL - A Skills Test.

Students are responsible for DOT physical. Must be 18 years old to participate and have a valid drivers license.

This course introduces students to essential automotive knowledge while building confidence, resilience, and life skills. Participants will learn basic vehicle maintenance—including fluid checks, tire care, and understanding common warning signs—through hands-on instruction. Each lesson connects automotive systems to real-life concepts such as decision-making, boundaries, and emotional regulation. Designed to be engaging and empowering, the course equips students with practical skills they can use both on the road and in everyday life. No prior automotive experience is required.

This specialized course is designed for licensed electricians, contractors, and inspectors seeking to maintain and update their professional credentials. The course expands and reinforces knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) with a primary focus on the latest 2026 NEC edition. Participants review tables and chapters of the NEC for better comprehension and interpretation of the provisions and applications of the code. This class meets necessary state licensing renewal requirements for professional development in licensing renewal.
