Certified Clinical Medical Assistants work in a variety of healthcare settings such as hospitals, clinics, medical group practices, and public health facilities. This 21-week program will enable you to become a crucial member of a medical team with skills necessary to function in a variety of medical settings. As you complete this course, you will gain the technical knowledge required to assist you in passing the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification examination.
The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Training utilizes theory and hands-on instruction, and includes 40 hours of clinicals in a medical lab setting. Attendance to all classes (in-person and virtually) and clinical assignments is mandatory. Class schedule may be adjusted due to unforeseen causes, such as inclement weather.

Technology Requirements: Students must have access to a laptop or personal computer with camera and microphone capabilities.
Course Requirements:
- High school diploma, transcript, or GED
- Driver's License or photo ID
- Record of Immunizations
- Including a flu vaccination within 12 months, Tuberculin skin test, MMR, Varicella, and Hepatitis B vaccine series
- Flu, Varicella, and Hep B exemption forms available upon request
- Documentation of MMR vaccination or laboratory evidence of a positive IgG (titer) required
- TB skin test required
- Current Basic Life Support CPR certification (if needed, $80)
- Professional student liability insurance through HPSO (approximately $43 for one year of coverage)
- Health insurance
- Venipuncture Participant Release form signed
- Third Party Release of Student Records form signed
- Background check through TrueScreen ($23.40)
