These experts review patient charts and documents for verification and review code assignment in accordance with official coding guidelines while entering the data for hospital statistical and reporting requirements.
Aztec’s Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) program prepares healthcare workers with the skills needed to perform the duties of a medical coder and biller, including coding various medical diagnoses, procedures, or symptoms which are then submitted to Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance companies in order to receive reimbursements. This program prepares students to take the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification exam (voucher not included).
