ESL: A Cultural Exploration of Seattle

Improve your English while exploring the sights of Seattle! The lessons and excursions will introduce students to Seattle's culturally and ethnically diverse communities. This ESL workshop will take students throughout the city -- from Daybreak Star Center at Discovery Park to the International District, Beacon Hill and Ballard. Expenses for museum entrances $5-10 will be paid directly by student plus lunch and snacks $10 each day. Cultural Explorations is an intensive 12-hour English Conversation class that runs over three consecutive days starting online on Zoom Thursday evening from 7:00 - 9:00pm. In-person field trips will be on Friday and Saturday. Friday class is from 10:00am - 2:00pm and Saturday is from 10:00am - 4:00pm. Students will need to plan to meet at each of the field trip locations; details will be given on Thursday. So, come and join other students, practice your everyday English, and learn about Seattle's cultural diversity. The teacher has lived in Seattle for over 35 years and has taught and taken student groups on trips around Seattle, Latin America and across the United States.
