Explore cooking for a long and healthy life! Learn recipes based on scientific research from the USC Longevity Institute’s studies into food’s role in our health and wellness. Make Omega 3-rich salmon cakes, homemade kale pasta with pesto and chia, roasted garlic hummus, homemade pita, roasted and stuffed eggplant with farro and walnut chermoula sauce, Mexi-chop salad with black beans, roasted peppers and Green Goddess avocado dressing. You’ll be introduced to food so interesting and delicious you won’t miss the meat, sugar or the weight you will incidentally shed! This class is suitable for Vegan diets. A $40 materials fee is due to the instructor on first day of class.
