Fall Birds of Puget Sound Lowlands

Fall and early winter are an excellent time for birding in the Puget Sound region. Waterfowl return to the rich sheltered waters of the Sound as well as finding refuge in abundant freshwater lakes and ponds. Small forest species gather together in mixed feeding flocks. Learn to identify species, appreciate behaviors and the best places to bird throughout the lowlands during this optimal season. Time will be spent on learning birding tools such as eBird and Merlin.
