Alpine Tricky Zwiefacher Dance

Moving to rhythms is the basis of dancing, marching etc. In this class we are going to dance to very tricky rhythms. No fancy move, no tricky leads, just dancing. Zwiefacher is a partner dance. Sing up with a partner or sign up as a single student. The rhythm leads the dance and movement on the floor, like spinning, is open to negotiation.

Zwiefacher originally came from Bohemia, the Alpine district in the Czech Republic. It is common in Australia and the Alps of southern Germany and the French Alcaise. The center of Zwiefacher activity is now Bavaria/ he confusion of place names, languages, dialects, and spelling systems brought many past students to enjoy geographic research.
