Beginning Jewelry Workshop   

In this workshop students will learn the fundamentals of metalsmithing with an emphasis on jewelry fabrication. Projects in this course will include a forged brass bracelet, a soldered and filed brass ring, hand fabricated silver wire and chain earrings, and a sterling silver bezel set cabochon ring. All materials for this course will be provided except a cabochon for the final ring project. Students will be required to pick out their own cabochon locally at Northwest Rockhounds or through an online retailer such as etsy. Cabochons must be round or ovular and must be a minimum 1/4” diameter and not exceed 1”.
