The Oklahoma CNG Compressor Technician – Level 1 (Operator) License Course is a 3 day blended learning course taught via online and in-class instruction with hands-on application based on the standards developed and adopted by the Oklahoma Department of Labor (ODOL). These standards include: • Demonstrate Knowledge of Law, Rules, Standards, and Codes that Apply to CNG Compressor Operations • Use Fundamental Knowledge Required of CNG Compressor Operators • Use Safe Work Practices • Demonstrate Knowledge of CNG Compressor Components and Systems • Inspect and Perform Routine Maintenance on CNG Compressor Systems • Document Inspection and Maintenance Performed on Compressor Systems Oklahoma CNG Compressor Technician – Level 1 (Operator) licensees may perform all duties necessary to service, inspect, and maintain CNG fill station equipment. No previous experience is required. Students will receive a course link and log in information for the online portion of the course one week before the course start date. The online portion is self-paced and is required to be completed before attending the classroom portion on the course start date. Please note that this course is designed to prepare technicians for the skill assessments and examination as required to obtain licensure. (Assessments and examinations are included within the course.) This course covers basic safety and general maintenance procedures. Training for specific compressor systems is not included. Applicants must pass all skill assessments and examinations to apply for State licensure. NOTE: Enrollment for this course will close one week before the listed course start date.
