Advanced Fundamentals of Anesthesia Technology – ACE 2113: 13 Clock Hours
13 hours of lecture time (1.6 hours of asynchronous lectures per week for 8-weeks with ancillary assignments and readings delivered in an asynchronous format).
Course Description
This course provides didactic instruction to prepare the student with the advanced fundamentals of anesthesia technology's cognitive and affective learning skills. Topics include applicable pathophysiology, anesthesia emergencies, difficult airway algorithms, malignant hyperthermia, fire in the operating room, cardiac arrest, anaphylaxis, and local anesthesia toxicity.

2. Apply concepts and theoretical knowledge of the role of an anesthesia technology student at the advanced level in all anesthesia care environments.
